How to make Vietnamese Noodle Salad Hủ Tiếu Khô

This recipe yields 4 servings:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb lean minced pork
  • 1/2 package of tapioca noodles
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 cup chopped chives
  • 1/2 bag (8 oz) mung bean sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 11/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Total Time: 35 min

  • Prep: 25 min
  • Cook: 10 min

Salad Dressing Prep:

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Noodle Prep:

  • 1/2 package of tapioca noodles 
  • Cook in boiling water for 8 minutes
  • Drain & rinse in cold water
  • Set aside for noodles to dry

Minced Pork Prep:

  • 1/2 lb minced pork
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Saute minced pork for 3-4 minutes or until fully cooked
  • Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Set aside to cool

Instructions: 

  1. Set aside your prepared dish of Noodle Salad (5 minutes before serving)
  2. Add cooked minced pork, noodles & salad dressing in a big mixing bowl
  3. Add 1 cup of chopped cilantro and 1 cup of chopped garlic chives
  4. Then add 1/2 cup of fried shallots and 1/2 bag (8 oz) mung bean sprouts
  5. Mix and toss with noodles.
